Advice needed on first PAM

I am looking for my first PAM. I would like an automatic vs. A H/W. The one watch that catches my eye is the 164. I have seen it from $108 to the ultimate version costing $428. Is the ultimate the way to go?

Keep in mind you'll get a more reliable watch with a handwind
I'd do some research as to the accuracy before forking out over $400 for a rep. In fact that seems very pricy considering the price and accuracy of the 005's etc

Maybe.... checkout the 288k? They're auto and an accurate rep but you'll have all the normal worries about the auto 7750 movement
