Advice for Base Model Options

My 112 recently took a crap and I figured it would be easier to buy a new watch than wait for it to get fixed. I have been of the forum for a while, so I am kind of out of the loop with what are the good new models. I am wondering what are the best options for a base model out of the box. Wouldn't be looking to make any mods. Would prefer one that has better lume too. So what are some good choices?

Just some light reading for you - in response to your question:

EVALUATION: (**) SUPER REP (N-series H maker and Noob)
The PAM 000 is the same as PAM 005 but without seconds@9 subdial
There are more watches related to PAM 000:
PAM 002 is similar but with Tritium dial and without logo
PAM 009 has similar structure but is PVD coated and has Tritium dial without logo.
PAM 360 is also a Logo and has similar structure but is PVD coated and has patina lume. Moreover this watch is a very special Unique Edition (see Pam 360)
If you are looking for a clean and basic Panerai watch similar to PAM 000 and you want a more “warm†version, you have the PAM 390 Boutique Edition with Brown Sausage dial and gold hands.
The PAM 000, aka “Zero†or “Logoâ€, is a called Luminor “Base†model (only hour and minute hands in the dial), is the more basic watch of the Luminor series, faithful to the heritage of pre-Vendome Panerai the original Logo 5218-201/A.
"Logo" was also the nickname that collectors used when referring to the Pre-Vendome 5218-201/A base model. That watch too has the OP logo on the dial and the current PAM 000 resembles the 201/A quite a bit. The value of the original Logo is of course 10 to 20 times higher and hard to find as it has become a true collectors item in the last few years. But bear in mind that it will not be easy either getting a new PAM 000 from an AD.
PAM 000 is very appreciate for its simplicity, the logo is its only concession.
The high price and collectible pre-Vendome 5218-201/A, 5218-209/A and PAM 000-005-318-195-360-380-424 are the only available Panerai watches with the legend OP Logo.
Introduced in the G-series in 2004, the Logos might count as part of the Luminor Marina and Luminor Base line, but they rather stand out on their own. The Logos are versions of the Marina and Base, but with solid casebacks, and sporting the original "OP" logo on the dial. They seem to be squarely aimed at the enthusiast, although tend to be billed as "entry level" models, since the solid caseback means that movements require less decoration.
The OP Logo is made up of the letters O and P which of course stand for Officine and Panerai. There are also two arrows in the logo - one pointing up and one pointing down-. These refer to the fact that Panerai was a specialist in manufacturing underwater products and landing aid systems. The down arrow referred to the under water (diving) products, the up arrow referred to the other tools.
There are PAM 000 replicas from regular dealers and from DSN. The new generation of reps is very good and we can consider that the N-series from H maker and Noob are Super reps.

also - Trusty time is no longer a trusted dealer here. their was some drama a while back however others still use them. It is recommended that RWI members use TD's so that if anything were to go wrong - you would have the forums support.

Noob zero on the same V3 case the 111 comes with. To me the best OTB base PAM this days. Unless you source something like this...
