Thank you for your recommendation's, I am pleased to hear I was able to deliver your expectations. Your business is always appreciated
Hi @ado213 are you located in the UK as your profile states? I've got a Fifty Fathoms that has misasligned hands when on the hour, is this something you could assist with? Love this watch so much but havent been able to find someone locally to assist.

I haven't been on the site for a few years, and I am really only back on to see if ado213 was still in business. I am glad to see that he is, as I require works done/ servicing of my tc 16610. ado213 is the only person i would ever use for servicing my watch...

I understand being busy, but he was responding regularly to my questions regarding rates and services. I agree with the rates and shipped him my watch, then sent him an email with tracking info and asked to confirm he’s received the information, just a quick two word response/answer/reply would suffice.

It’s been a week since he’s communicated, and I see that’s he’s here almost everyday on the forum, obviously, he has some time….

First time using his services, only have reputation to rely on, you can understand my apprehension when you send off your watch and not receiving any further comms

@rza996 Your last email to me was asking me to confirm I have your watch. As you are aware, I don't even have your watch as yet. Its a fairly simple process to check the tracking number yourself, as you have that tracking number.

I've used ado a couple of times. Been very happy with quality of work.
Surely before you post here publicly you can check tracking yourself.

…. I didn’t want to respond to ado213’s post because I don’t think it’s necessary, but given the fact that now other people are chiming in and getting involved, I’ll respond.

I did not ask ado213 to track my watch. This is my first transaction with the guy, so after I sent out the watch, I shot him an email saying I sent out the watch and here’s the tracking info. I put the tracking info for his reference, I did not ask him to track the shipment, lol it’s my watch so I would obviously track it and want to make sure it’s delivered.

Like, hey I’ve just sent you some I really like and here’s the info, please let me know that you’ve received this message

The point is, if there’s was a misunderstanding, well, that’s an easy fix, just respond to my email and PMs (within a responsible timeframe). But ghosting me for a week (could may have been longer), and only responding after I made a post.

I think I made my concerns clear in the post above

Rza996. In your cryptic email to me on the 16th Jan, you say Please confirm, I've shipped my watch and it should be arriving this week,
What exactly did you want me to confirm, I didn't have it so couldn't confirm anything. At that point if you were concerned it would have been advisable to check the tracking number yourself

When I did check the tracking number with UPS, on the 20th Jan ( which by the way is your job to do) there system showed it was an invalid tracking number.

I sent you an email on the 20th Jan, saying the tracking number was invalid and I did not have your watch here. You then called customer services at UPS and they said there was a Blip in the system and it would be delivered within the next couple of days. To confirm, as yet it is still not here

So to my reckoning that's 4 days waiting for an email reply ?.

If you think this is an unreasonable response time then unfortunately I am not the person you should be dealing with, I'm pretty sure Tag, Rolex etc would not reply much quicker?

To help you understand things from my end, I deal with a lot of watches both genuine and replica, Each watch has a email trail of approx 10 emails. I work alone, I do not have a secretary as Tag, Rolex and or others do.

Whilst I appreciate, that I am not the best a responding instantly to emails, I have to prioritise actually repairing peoples watches with responding to emails. I could in fact spend all day sending emails but this does not get peoples watches repaired, so there is a balance to be had.

Some watches take considerably longer to repair than anticipated within my plan of work, therefore extending peoples waiting times and obvious delays in responding to emails, so please be patient

I sent the email on the 13th, then another on the 16th. I wanted you to confirm that you’ve received my email, so I know you’re aware that the watch has been shipped to you and not have something show up that you’re not expecting…..

Try looking at it from my point of view. I don’t know you and you’re not an official vendor/watch repair/watch servicing sanctioned by this forum. You’re another member that was recommended to me and I see your reviews, so I reached out. But if something goes sideways, well, I don’t think I’d have much recourse.

Anyways, I’m ready to put this to past and move ahead. We can chalk it up as a misunderstanding, I’m good if you’re good 👍

Being aware the watch has been shipped has little relevance, if its not here.

You obviously think you are correct in your postings and I think I am correct expecting an apology from you. I have explained how replica watch repair works from my end, which seems to have had little effect on your frame of mind.

As you have pointed out, I am NOT an official vendor nor sanctioned by RWI. You have obvious concerns about your watches safety and if it will be repaired. Your issues about recourse would be with me, personally. I am honest and part of my reputation is built on this. I am fully aware that I have to stand or fall by my actions.

Taking these factors into account and as I do have a queue at present that will undoubtedly exceed your turnaround expectations, I will be posting your watch back when it does arrive.

I trust this will now resolve any issues and or worries you have

For anyone in any doubts reading this, I've used ado's services for pretty much every watch I owned, including super frankens with $2k worth of parts over nearly ten years. Every so often I pop back in the forum and see relatively new members pop up with posts like this, not just to ado but other modders as well, many of whom just left the hobby because they couldn't be assed dealing with stuff like this.

Expectations need to be adjusted a little. Our modders have lives outside RWI, but still give up time to earn a very modest amount from helping the community. I remember seeing how many boxes ado had arrive in one week. If he had to email every person that sent a watch multiple times his service levels will drop - more emails, less watch work. It is worth remembering that they are offering a service you won't get easily elsewhere - conducting repairs and modifications on thrown together replica Chinese watches. That introduces all sorts of complications, and we are lucky to have these services and should respect the modders with the right amount of patience and not barrage them with messages even before the watch arrives.

A respected modder, official vendor here or otherwise, is not going to stake their reputations on a $500 watch. If the watch is lost in transit that is always the risk of the sender anyway. Aside that I have no idea what 'going sideways' could entail - if a modder isn't working to the standards that they should, respected or not, this has (and sometimes unfairly) been and will continue to be called out on RWI. AFAIAA, there is no such feedback about ado, as I'm sure you know because I'm sure you will have done your research before sending the watch.
