Acrylic Crystal Question

i realize an acrylic crystal will scratch, but how would you say a non-AR acrylic crystal looks compared to gen AR sappire with regard to reflectivity? The real question is do you feel the inherent non- reflective qualities of acrylic begin to look like the AR gens? I have gen vintage Heuer watches and the original acrylic crystals have far less shine than the new sapphire crystals.

DO the lower end reps come with acrylic or mineral crystals?
