About to place my 1st order

So far I’ve only ever bough cheap shitters from the Gate and wanted something nicer.

Have looked at a couple of TDs but have been recommended Steve.

I have sent him a whatsapp checking if he has an Omega Seamaster 300 42mm black in a good quality and what the price is.

Once he comes back to me, I will continue to update on this journey.

Ok, so far Steve has come back to me fairly quickly, but is charging around $50 more than Geektime..

Anyone have any suggestions why this might be, is Steve better or are the watches the same?

I had a couple of questions for Steve and he responded pretty much within hours on WhatsApp, great service so far.

So I placed my order and now the wait begins. Hopefully I will get some QC’s images first and then countdown to delivery.

So after having a few issues trying to pay for the watch, I finally got it to work and payment went through last night. Sent confirmation of the payment to Steve and just awaiting some QC images of the watch to be sent through.

I'm sure you know this, but since you are new here, just a heads up ! Steve is great, the main thing is you need patience.
His time-frames are set out below, in case you didn't see it on his site

My experience in his busy period was from payment and / order confirmation, to receiving parcel was 14 days, pretty good for this time of year

The watches I bought are extremely good quality (TAG Heuer F1's with swiss movement) all functions including 1/10th seconds as they should be.

I can’t wait.. So far only ever bought “copy” watches from DHgate and although not too bad, they are cheaper quality.. so I’m hoping that this one from Steve is a better quality..

Sounds nice, but as is the case with any replica, don't even take a shower with it on until you have had it pressure tested because no seller actually guarantees against water intrusion

Still awaiting QC and details, as I didn’t realise that it’s Chinese New year and apparently all the factories are closed until it’s all over.. It’s the 1st of Feb today, so prob another 2 weeks before I even get the QC.

So beware for any future purchases, don’t buy/order anything in January..

/\ /\ /\ Exactly this, he couldn't have been more helpful, and the Watches were superb, as were the prices.

I will definitely be buying again, especially so when my UK TD doesn't have something I want.

It will be more than two weeks.

Having ordered 2 TAG Heuer F1's from Steve, the first was on 11th Jan, the second one a few days later, which then had a QC video issue, (turned out watch was fine), so that put it back a couple of days as well !!
The first arrived on 23rd Jan and the second ordered 2 days after first got here on 29th Jan, so they did well.

What I have learned from this is that it is (IMHO) ill advised to order after the first week in Jan until perhaps mid March.
I say that bearing in mind that the TD's will be rushing to get orders out, and also have a bunch to deal with when they get back to work.

I'd be interested to hear the take of others more experienced than me on that theory
