About to buy 2 watches - Advice needed Please.

I've just joined. I've decided to buy 2 Cartier Panthere's from Steve Theonewatch.
Got his details from Trusted Dealer list.
Contacted him through WhatsApp and sent him an email to make sure I was speaking with him and not someone else. All's good there.
Is it ok to make the purchase through a WhatsApp conversation? And not through theonewatch site?
I know he's not a scammer but I'm more concerned about have an order number linked to the transaction.
Has anyone purchased a watch using this method?

My experience is that they usually direct you back to their website to complete the order and receive payment information anyways. I’ve only experienced a couple of times where the entire transaction was actually completed on WhatsApp.

But regardless of how you / they choose to handle it, it’s not an issue. You can trust them. You have the entire conversation on WhatsApp anyway, it’s just as good as an order number

I use him all the time. 5 purchases in the last 6 months. I only use the website for researching what's out there. Everything is through WhatsApp, they send me order confirmation numbers, tracking info and pricing on there. Will usually let you do a deposit before QC once you have worked with them a few times. Have no fear sending funds upfront either. They do a ton of business, "Steve" is actually a moniker for the entire customer service team there. No way could one dude keep up with the crazy demand they have.

Most of my transactions are via whatsapp or WeChat

However I have seen that some start to redirect me to the website to make the order. Looks like they want to have definite proof of what people order to avoid complaints later

The final transaction is always via chat or email
