Hello,
has anyone noticed that the new IW371611
PORTUGUESE CHRONOGRAPH
now has a glass bottom? Mine doesn't have one.
Only the one without a glass bottom is offered.

Apparently I haven't made myself clear.
I saw that the new IW371611 model on the IWC website now has a glass bottom.
As far as I know, all TDs only offer those with the closed bottom.
I bought one myself last year from Perfect Clones and it also has a closed bottom.
Is there a TD who offers one with a glass bottom or is this not yet known to them?

Since a few weeks all the TD´s also have the new portuguese series 3716 series with open caseback.
Just look closely at there websites.

Im pretty sure that the 3716 is a new 2020 release from IWC and thus factories/TDs have it out since a few weeks. I see some on puretime at the moment.

The 3714 is what you bought last year

I would rather buy a ZF 3714 with closed caseback as long as they are still available. The new 3716 is thicker since it needs more space for deco plate to imitate the new IWC cal. 69355 column wheel Chrono movement but still is an instant tell with the open caseback.

Decoplate of the fake cal. 69355 removed. The original A7750 is nicer as a movement and more real.

That is a different watch. That is the 150 year anniversary model.

Yes the 150 Years Edition hat a different rotor Thant the standard 3716, but the deco plate is similar. My point was just that I would recommend any member to go with the "old" 3714 with the closed caseback (which is also a little bit slimmer), because the 3716 rep with open caseback is an instant tell.

Great point about the 3714. While .7mm probably won't feel all that different on the wrist, and also no one will see the tell of the display caseback while you're wearing it - at least mentally it might feel better ;)

I have both, one 3714 and the 150 Years Edition and i must say, that the newer version wears a little bit more comfortable, because it sits a little bit higher on the wrist.
And the 0,7mm difference in thickness is not noticealbe. But you are right with the open caseback, this is a tell...

Hi guys, looking at the 371611 at the moment, few TDs seem to be selling them with the newer open back.

These particular ones seem rarely rated and reviewed and I have some concerns about the movement but they claim it is the update version of the automatic and more reliable.

I always felt these were a reliable and safe bet as OOTB reps go, but not seeing much feedback. Can anyone lend a few thoughts?

Has anyone bought any of the new 3716 models yet? I would be interested in any insights.

Thanks.

addingwatch : I have bought three ZF 3716 yet. They are great quality, as the ZF 3714 V3 is.
If you don’t plan to put a gen movement inside, I would stick with the ZF 3714 V3 (My personal opinion. I don’t like fake deco plates with non moving fake column wheels as on the 3716).

Thanks for the input! Follow up question: do the reliabilities of the chronograph movements in the 3714 and in the 3716 differ in any way? or are they more or less the same and equally and susceptible to breaking if used too much?
