So I've done some reasearching about the 292 and I found a post by ALE put up last year mentioned that the 292M by h-maker was the best one! Since then though I think a few new models have been released! So now I don't know where to go from here! Could you guys give me some pointers?

lemania is the better and more accurate looking one, but of course the gen has the auto movement, thus making the 7750 more accurate in terms of movement.

Correct me if I'm wrong here:
The M series from H maker is the best non-pig version of 292 with the better placement of PANERAI on the dial compared to the latest offering (the N series).
And I think the complain people were having regarding split case has been addressed and solved by the H maker.

my understanding is at the moment, the closes to gen is the 292J full ceramic Noob version.

Yes ALE I read your review, which is great BTW, I just wanted to verify since it was posted last year, I thought maybe an newer better might of came out!

I've got a 292M and it is beautiful. I personally don't like the Pig, so this is the best one available for me at the moment.

Good to hear Alex_P1, I'm just looking for confirmation that the 292m from the H-maker is the best one, I read it was on ALE's Pam guide but I don't see links to where to get this H-maker one or any additional information about it!

The majority of TDs should be able to get you the watch you're after. Mine came from Toro, but I'm sure Sead or Trevor should also be able to get it for you.
I'm trying to find another watch I like as much as the 292, it has such presence whilst being quite subtle, I think it is my favourite in my collection! I love the 6497 movement, the shape and use of ceramic in the case and the bold but simple dial.

Are there any other tells on the pig version besides the quality of pig? (Crown, crown tube length, engravings etc)
I really dislike dial flaws (like logos) and would rather have the pig flaw.
