AAA Quality

Hello all

I am new to the forum and only found this forum by total accident. I am pleased I did, as you all seem a jolly and helpful bunch.

Previous to signing up for this forum I had already purchased a so called AAA quality Rolex Daytona which I am happy with. I was wondering what peoples thoughts on this are please? Please see below for image.

I am interested in acquiring a new watch but I am not really interested in super clones or 1:1 clones just yet. If someone could be a critic on the attached images I would be more than grateful.

Welcome! There does not exist a 1:1 or AAA rep of the Daytona. You would do well to spend a few weeks reading about rwi and buying reps from china in general. The more you read beforehand the more likely you will be to enjoy yourself. You say you are not interested in a super clone? Are you looking fir a cheap rep worth less than $200?

1:1 clones/reps don't exist. To a certain extent you get what you pay for - a $500 Noob V7 Sub will look a lot better than a $150 BP basic sub, the Noob won't be perfect, but it will fool most of the people most of the time.

Your Daytona is an entry level rep - you can find similar from the TD's on the forum for around $130 - $150, but I'm guessing you payed more than that for it if you bought it new . . .

Better value reps, with better quality movements and finish in general are around $250 - $300. If this is too much, try the M2M section, but choose your seller carefully - preferably a supporter with a good sales history.

Thanks for the feedback. I paid £130 for this with the Rolex box, which equates to around $160.

Overall, for my first watch I am more than pleased with it. O may have a look at the $250 mark if there is a lot of noticeable difference in quality?

I noticed a similar watch on a website Trusty Time which is $108. I presume mine is a similar level to this? This other watch was made by Sky Factory?

Moving up to the $250 - $300 range, yes there is a noticeable difference in quality - buy it does depend to a certain extent on the watch - Daytonas are not particularly well repped - principally because of the movement and the problems it causes.

While I like the Daytona, and I have an A7750 version, in general they are not the best reps. If chronograph watches are your interest, look for reps where the genuine one uses a 7750 based movement. The A7750 in its native configuration is reliable, and the case dimensions, subdial configuration and spacing will be correct, and t will function as per gen. Some examples of this include the TAG Heuer caliber 16 based watches, breitling caliber 13 as seen in the Skyland Avenger and Navitimer World.

As a critic, that watch doesn't look great.

As a welcoming member, follow the advice of others and do your homework by reading a lot around the forum. Find a watch you love and then find the rep you want. Be prepared to spend a little longer and save up a little more to stretch your budget. Quality over quantity. The investment in time and better quality will give you a more satisfying experience and more pleasing watch.

Then repeat ad infinitum

The Dayton doesn't rep well. They are either too fat with unreliable seconds at 6 or they have non working chronos.
