Hi!

I've got a Breitling Navitimer with a 21600 bph A7750. It has been worn a few weeks, and everything works well, sort of.

It keeps time well overnight, or when kept in the box, but as I wear it, there's just no stopping it... It will gain 3-5 minutes per day when worn.

Is this caused by some imbalance, general lack of service, or is this a unique behaviour?

Any tips would be helpful, as it is cheaper to buy another watch compared to handing it in to a proffessional.... :/

Just adjust the regulator slower?

That would make it go slower in every situation I would have thought. Which is not the case... This is strange but an expert will be along shortly ;) I mean it's good to have these movements serviced and regulated because of their nature but just see what is said here :)

Watch speeds are positionally sensitive, so the position you wear on your wrist may simply be the one your movement likes to run fastest in. For example, My gen Rolex will be spot on if I wear it everyday but sitting on a winder it will run slow.

you regulate to find the balance you're willing to live with.

but if you really are experiencing no time gain sitting in any other position, I would agre, gaining a few minutes in the wearing position is odd.

A quicker and cheaper fix would be to get it regulated. A timegrapher will show the +/- at different positions. The easiest average to take would be between dial up and crown down. Then have it regulated to a happy medium.
