Does anyone have the specs and has been successful using a winder with an A7750? Watch/movement is from ZF and about two months old. I've tried a couple of different rotation/tpd combinations but no luck. Sits with a gen that is winding, so machine is working.

thanks to one and all

I own a fair few watches with 7750 movements. Some folks hate them. I've had 2 failed ones, both of which were bought with an issue.
I don't as a rule have any issues with them though.

I certainly wouldn't keep one on a winder, that's like leaving your Car running all the time even if you aren't using it.

I've got a couple of 18 year old reps with 7750 movements, both still working well but they've never been in a winder. I suspect the reason they are still running is partly about the relative lack of use they get and a winder would increase that.

Remember the 7750 is a unidirectional wind rotor. I do place a watch with a 7750 movement on a winder. I have my winder set to maximum turns. I've never had an issue and it definitely fully charges the movement overnight set this way

Another thing about 7750's is the native "watch seconds" on the originals are @9 subdial, so a B01 Navitimer usually will be fine, (operator errors excluded).

For a Daytona, the watch seconds are @6, which entails extra gearset parts in the bridge, Daytonas can give issues due to wear and extra stresses on that gear train, but with care they will last OK.

Watches like AP ROO's have their watch seconds at 12, and this is even more problematic with the addition of even more cogs etc.
A good friend on here and myself have had a few expensive failures on these and so we have ended up buying some AP ROO's with quartzies in them and don't have any issues.

The only issue with that is the seconds are in a different position, not an issue for us since we just enjoy our watches and don't give a toss about what others think, after all they are just Chinese trinkets ;)

The final thing about these movements is that they are always thicker so many watches have thicker cases.

At the end of the day, if I like something I will buy it and enjoy wearing it.
I am definitely anti winder on any wristwatch;)
