Hi, was wondering if it is possible to put the DD module on top of a3120 to create 3126? Is that an idea at all or was the gen 3120 mainplate heavily changed to make the dd fit?

As far as I’m aware this was just tested but never made it in the watch in the end as the guy buying the watch received it with LWO and never ended up getting the converted 3120/6 because of some issues they ran into during the conversion. It’s pretty difficult and needs some gen 3126 parts to convert which are a total pain to get.
Yes it’s possible and has been done before. You can also add a dd module to the JLC movement which serves as the base for the 2226/2840 caliber used in the older ROOs.
removing the DD module is super easy, and you can mount it on virtually any movement. Even higher end stuff like Rolex. I’m trying to figure out now if the hour and minute hands for the DD module is compatible with the 3120 cannon pinions.

No, that watch was commissioned by me and it did end up with the clone movement.
As a matter of fact, i also had a RG brick made by them with this movement.
Journey was long and hard though, the movement just kept failing for months.
