A2824 Date won't change help

I just got my Vintage INGY today. Just my luck, went to set the date and time. As soon as i move it a couple of dates the date wheel gets stuck and won't change at midnight either. The movement still works, just the date is messed up.


How do i fix this?

21j or ETA? Either way, you need to disassemble the watch and take off the hands and dial to troubleshoot the problem.

Possibly the date wheel has come out of its position.

You should be able to see the problem when you get into it. As Ssteel said, the dw probably slipped off the movement or the little click spring got stuck under the tabs on the dw. The mechanism is pretty simple once you see it.

Here's the basics of what you'll see. The click spring is right between the 29 and 30 on the dw. That spring has to be in between the two tabs. The date jumper mechanism is that silver and brass wheel thing at the 27 mark.

Fixed it! Turns out the datewheel popped out of place. East fix

I have the same problem with my bpsd with A2813. After I bought it, it worked flawlessly for a couple of weeks, then at midnight the date wheel remained stuck between the two numbers. After about a week started to work normally again, and now the date doesn't change anymore at all...
