a2813 vs a2836 quality

Got a beginner questions here,

So i see that Noob makes a particular model (Rolex 11610 LN for example) in multiple movements, a2813, a2836, a3135. Other than the difference in movements is there a difference in the quality of the watch externally as well? Reason why I ask is that if i don't mod or plan on taking the watch apart, would it make more sense to buy the a2813 and save nearly $100 as opposed to purchasing the a2836? Is the quality of materials like case, bracelet, crown, etc different from the a2813 vs 2836? Is the engraving rehaut or bezel color different between the 2? etc, etc

Thanks for the help

I don't know about the a2813 version in terms of quality, therefore I'll chime in on the a2836 & a3135.

First of all the a2836 and the a3135 (not the sa3135) basically is the same (copies of ETA2836), what makes them different is the movement decorations, the a2836 is plain a2836 while the a3135 is an a2836 with decorations mimicking the Rolex Cal.3135, e.g this couple of pictures

The asian 2836 clone it is an excellent movement, it is pretty robust and easy to fix by any Watchsmith.

I have a DSSD with A3135 in it, and boy the quality of it is excellent for a rep, there's flaws as always if you compare it with it's gen, but for $400 I have no regrets buying it mate, the details is good and the movement is awesome.

If I were you, I'll take the a2836 version :).

Hope this helps, and hope someone who have both versions (a2813 and a2836) could chime in more about the quality.

The a2813 is a 21j movement while the a2836 is a 25j movement. The 25j movement sweeps smoother as it has more beats per second.
The a2813 is about $70-100 cheaper than the a2836 movement.
I've heard the a2813 can be a cheap, reliable movement.
The a2836 is a very reliable movement with a proven track record.

The only 2 problems I see with the a2813 movement are:
1) Does not sweep as smoothly as the a2836 or Miyota 9015 if you are getting a modern Rolex rep for the the smooth sweep, and
2) Most watchsmiths are not familiar with the a2813 movement for servicing and repair - and parts are usually not able to be obtained.

However, on the flip side, if the a2813 movement breaks it is usually cheap enough or cheaper just to replace the whole a2813 movement.
And there are plenty of ppl happy with their 21j replicas also - my rep Rolex Explorer I has a 21j a2813 and it works fine - and it doesn't stutter like my Omega with a 21j 8215 Miyota.

awesome sounds like i should probably stick with the a2836. What about the quality of the watch, not the movement? Is the same watch that is fitted with an A2836 have SAME watch case, crystal, bracelet, cyclops, etc as if it were fitted with an A2813? Does Noob take the same components and just drop in different movements and price accordingly? Sometimes you would "think" that the more expensive the watch is aside from the movement being different would have "better quality' components. that is what i am wondering.

Also, the A2813 is a generic term for a cheap Chines lo-beat movement made by a half dozen movement factories. They are all based on the low end, lo-beat Japanese Miyota movements. They are much too inexpensive to bother to service at around $35 to $45 each. You replace, not repair them.

Even though they are all similar you really need to compare a model from a specific factory such as from DG-Dixmont Guanzhou, Nanning, Seagull, etc.

I hunk what the OP is trying to imply at this point is whether the case/dial quality differs between a 2813 and a 2836. I've seen some 2813's that look like Canal street reps but I can't be too sure on the manufacturer. In the long run, get the 2836. Easily replaceable, more reliable, and
more options to modify if you choose to go down that road later. With the 2813, it'll be difficult to find dial and handsets. Even if you do, ETA dial and handsets will have a wider variety to choose from.
