Hi guys, today i am making this post to show the final result of this beautiful build and hopefully to help anyone that wants to do a nice value build for this watch.
For the base watch i got the APSF 116518 Yellow dial with added weight since my dealer said it was a long wait for the Paul Newman version. Great piece, shame for the cheddar-like gold color. I got a BTF dial (easier to source but Clean etc. are nice too) and Aftermarket hands from a chinese modder. Next i sent everything to @Johnny Depp . First of all he swapped the dial and hands:

Next, Johnny Depp polished the case and clasp with Silvo, to get rid of that cheese like color and let me show you the before and after (left is stock, right is after - both pictures taken in similar light):

When he sent me the pictures i had some doubts if it was the same watch :ROFLMAO:
So, assembly, finishing touches and waterproof:

And this is it, many pics of the final result:

I am over the moon with this one, mostly because it looks great and for once i didnt break the bank with a Daytona build. Huge thanks to @Johnny Depp for the amazing work, it could not have turned out any better. Let me know what do you think about this build and if i should add/swap something on it, thanks!

Very interesting. I always thought Silvo was a chemical “polish” that would reduce silver oxides and other silver compounds back to metallic silver; but it’s not. Silvo is an abrasive slurry of water (and a few other liquids) plus a fine quartz abrasive powder.

I would be cautious using this product on plated reps repeatedly since each time you use it, it will remove a small amount of the plating. Overuse could result in holes in the plating starting to form.

I (unfortunately) missed your comment. You are correct, if not used correctly (too much/often) it will 100% mess up the plating, but if done correctly it really removes a good 90% of that nasty yellow that many of todays reps have. It has been almost a month since i got this watch back from JD, i wear it 2-3 days a week and its still holding up well

Still good gold colour? Awesome watch.

If you use Silvo only one time, the results are forever? Because if not, I don't think it's worth ruining the gold color.

So just hit it once to get the ideal color and never use it again? Or…?

Still great, very happy with it. Yes, you should apply it lightly, without burning the plating.
