Hello all,
In the process of ordering my first reps, the most disappointing experience was not anything that had to do with the watch. It was the tracking that drove me insane. Like many people who order products online, I have a tendency to check the tracking number every 15 minutes to know exactly where my package is. Unfortunately, as many of you know, EMS' tracking service is not very helpful in this department. So, I decided to write up a little guide on how to get a little more information out of EMS using some free and easy resources accessible to everyone.
Now to start, the english version of EMS tracking is vague and not very helpful. For example, the tracking information for the first rep I bought a few weeks ago looked like this:
EEXXXXXXXXXCN

? 2010-07-03 14:46:00 UNITED STATES OF AMERICA XXXXX Attempted delivery
? 2010-07-06 11:30:00 UNITED STATES OF AMERICA XXXXX Delivery
In this instance, USPS tried to deliver to my house on the 3rd but we were not home, so I had to pick it from the post office on the 6th. On the site, it can say it's been bouncing back and forth between "Sorting Centers" for several days. However, the Chinese version of the site has much more information. Unfortunately, many of us, myself included, do not know Chinese. But, there are hundreds of different free translation sites, and I found Google Translate to be the best one I have used. Here is what it said after translating the original Chinese:
EEXXXXXXXXXCN
Your e-mail at 2010-07-06 11:30:00 (U.S. XXXXX) has secure hurl

2010-07-03 14:46:00 not secure hurl the United States XXXXX
2010-07-06 11:30:00 secure hurl the United States XXXXX
Personally, I found this tremendously more helpful than the original tracking information, and aside from the mysterious "Toudi Ju" translation and mistaking "delivery" for "hurl" the translation was pretty good and easily understandable.
Anyway, I hope this guide helps some people in the future, and thanks to RWI for providing such a great service!
