CP = cannon pinion. Look at the post that the hands attach to and you see that it's top is not flush to the minute hand. That non-flush cannon pinion thing is an issue with some Panerai rep owners since it is a tell.

I did the same thing with Pam088 - just put it on an old style bracelet. The overall look seems to be more balanced - bigger hands match bracelet better, I think.

For me, PAMs go with leather or rubber. But its my personal preference only....
