Yup, Elliot just had his blue sharkskin strap as a Santa Special and I ordered the 192 lemania movement pam with those nice blue hands to match. I got it from Josh with the SS band which looks quite nice as well. This is the fault Snielson who posted a photo of his 192 w/ blue sharkskin. Thanks. My wife is about ready to take legal action. Oh well, another day in the life of a a watchaholic. :roll:

I am rather curious about this watch. I have seen so many posts saying that it can no longer be purchased, but I just got one. Is it that they are no longer produced and this is old stock? Aside from the flaking hands problem, are there any other issues? This is my first lemainia movement pam and having heard so many positive things about it, am pleased to get one.

UPDATE.... Josh just emailed me and said this watch IS sold out. I just assumed that since it was listed for sale on his site that it could be had. Oh well. If someone wants to sell one, please let me know.

You're right, both 172 and 192 reps (top quality ones, BTW) have dissapeared from the 'market' some time ago, but it looks like most of our dealers managed to re-plenish their stocks recently.
I was always curious about that extra-long minute hand, and somewhat shorter than usual hour hand on 172...are they supposed to be like that on gens as well ?
I'm normaly not into contemporary PAMs myself, but 172/192 get thumbs up !

If I am not mistaken, those dealer who replenished did so with a brushed stainless steel case, as opposed to the titanium casing.
Well, I ended up getting the 172. A little dissapointed but I like it quite well and it will be very sharp on the sharkskin strap as well. Maybe I am better off, the lines are a bit cleaner on the 172 which I like, so it looks like it's back to the 196 or the 250 daylight, on another day.

I won a 172 from PT's raffle about a month ago that has the brushed SS case, and I've gotten many compliments. Mine lacks the blue hands, though. Vaccum is looking into sourcing a set for me though.

When I first saw them, they just looked so damn fine. Something told me (buy it, buy it, buy it), these are gonna be special. Why they quit making them (Ti) is a mystery to me.

I got my 192 when they first came out seems like years ago......I love the 192 also...I think the rep is nicer looking than the gen...I changed the strap to a blue croc. Makes it look a little more classy. The blue shark strap is now nestled in on my PAM087.....blue dial La Bomba....
