Hi members,
I was always searching for a better movement for these small egis.
The movements they were delivered with was not what I wanted to have
It was a TY2533 asia römtömtöm.....
In this case my build lost function by building, however it lost it, I don't know.
Two other possibilities were given in my cas:
1. Molnija
2. Cortebert 616
1 - 2 No matching hands in my spareparts to find
OK, how about an asia 6497 unitas ?
It fits if it is mounted from the backside
You can see the edge that has to be removed
Do I have to point it in red ? No, I don't think so.
It was so close to the inner side of the case, I thought: Why not ?
Just file the extending parts down to let it fit into the case.
I wrapped the whole case in a aluminium tape to prevent it from dust and
other particles that were left by filing and grinding.
This tape is used by our welders to keep the welding area closed.
I have grinded the edge down to the inner diameter of the case
Now the Tape was removed and no particles were left in the movement
After that, the movement fits exactly into the case
The dial also needed a similar treatment, the OD was too large
The next problem came ahead, the inside ring of the caseback was now too high.
It gave too much pressure to the movement. The only action that made sence was to file it down
After the shortening of the ring the caseback fitted perfect. No movement holding ring was nessesary.
I just need a new dial and the crown ( it only needed some stem-shortening ) must get some heat.
I hope it helps some of you to get away from these crappy movements that are inside of the 47ers
Btw, I fixed the keyless work that was visible damaged in the first pics, the hour wheel was also mounted back.
FYI
Thank you for looking
Greetz
