Dammmm....Dammmm.... & Blast!!!
How stupid and I ????? - (no do not answer this I already know)
Today my 3 new Pams arrived from Puretime.... 359M 288K 188H
So as I have done this before many times on Rolex ... I thought ahahhhhh - "let's see if they have greases the crown & caseback???"
So I got the Pam 188 - removed the caseback - NO GREASE at all on the O-ring
Next I removed the crown guard - found the stem release button, pushed it and out came the crown & stem exactly as expected.
I siliconed the rubber washer in the crown recess with a small model paintbrush and did the inside and around the tube.
Next I re-inserted the crown & stem - BLAMMO !!!
It engaged but pulls straight out, I tried many times, depressing the release button as I inserted, the crown would engage to wind the movement, but no hand setting position, and it always pulled straight out again.
so after much searching, I realise I must have screwed the Keyless Works.
Taking the dial, hands and resetting the keyless is WELL beyond me, so I fired an email to Domi.
I console myself with the thought that it's probably a good (great) idea to get it serviced anyway.
I must say that I was using a head-loupe and proper tools, and I really was very careful.
Could anyone advise What is the correct way to remove the stem & re-insert without messing the keyless up, on an A7750 movement?
