I've read the movement is actually a Sea-Gull ST19 handwind chrono. Just about the best chrono movement found in reps. Very reliable. Is that correct, are all the buttons working? I'm familiar with chrono buttons either side of winder... What does the other do on the lhs? It's says date is perpetual but I guess that's a language anomaly as is just set at each month of required?

Awesome peice, anyone got one?

these come up for sale in the forum now and then. I always liked them!

A member on rwg who had one said the date goes 30,31,32 - 39, 01. I can see how this would be so as you click forward to set the date, I wonder if the gen has more complex gearing to avoid this?

I believe this is the same watch,,, I'd be curious to get some feedback on this movement by someone who's familiar with it.....it's really a beautiful watch, I may see if it's available from one of our dealers...

If I'm not mistaken, that movement is sea gull ST-19, with chrono function, sec @9 and minute counter @3, it's a rock solid movement, more stable than the 7750. I have a patek replica with that movement and didn't have any problems with it. Also, I was able to use the chrono function when I feel like checking if it is still working, that maybe once a month.

Very good movement. Had one in my speedy.
just be gentle with the winding. The click springs on these have been known to be weak and can snap on ya.
Problem is, there are no replacements parts for this movement

there's a few posts about this issue in the seagull section.
I never had a problem with the movement personally but only owned that watch about a month and half.

Not sure that anyone mentioned it but the button at 11 o'clock if for advancing the date. ST-19 movement which is excellent with the only issue being the potential for the click spring to go south. The problem with what should be a simple fix is that parts are essentially non-existent.

I have one in rose gold. At 42mm, the rep is slightly wider than the gen (originally 39mm, but recently increased to 41mm). Case size aside, it's a beautiful, elegant, high quality rep. The pusher at 10 o'clock is date quickset much like in the A7753 movement.

Should that dissuade me, don't want it rapping on me!

Hyjynx, can you tell me where you purchased a rose gold version from? That's exactly what I am looking for!
