A Lange & Söhne Richard Lange 'Pour le Mérite'

A. Lange & Sohne just released a gorgeous time-only watch. Personally I am a fan of the amazing time-only pieces created by independent watchmakers, yet I believe that the price (82,500$) is astronomical!

I know that currently there are no Philippe Dufour, Kari Voutilainen, or Laurent Ferrier replicas but there are Lange replicas available. This would definitely be a request that I have to current factories to try to recreate this watch. I understand that there can never be perfect finishing on a replica, but something that is 80-90% similar would be incredible!

The movement is much too complicated to replicate I would imagine. The barrel is winded by a chain. But the dial would be surprisingly simple! Lange enamel dials are superb.

The chain winding aside, that could be repped with a 6497 base and decorated movement plates. The hard part on this one would be a convincing enamel dial I would think ...

I think I read somewhere that this watch does not have the enamel dial and that's why it is priced cheaper than the rg version..

You're right -- they used silver instead. Perhaps I wish it was black enamel haha.

Good point. I agree with what has been said that the movement could not be repped but something that had the same dimensions, dial, and general look would be nice. It certainly would be enjoyed by those who like the style and design of ALS watches.
