It's not by far an accurate replica, discrepancies are hard to miss, but as my first replica I like it as it is.

The motor is a DG 2813 low beat (/21600) since last Monday is losing 2 second a day, the rotor is very quiet and manual winding is butter smooth, I don't feel like winding!

The 29mm dial (meter first) fills up all the space inside the case opening, the wall of the rehaut is vertical and I wonder how the acrylic crystal is fitted on the case.

The case diameter is 38,5mm.
The bezel is 39,5mm.
The thickness with the domed acrylic is 17mm.
The lug to lug length is 47mm and they are drilled to 1mm only.
The weight with bracelet is 120 grams.

The crown has the O' ring protecting the thread 703 style and is thicker than the late 1960 models (702).

The spring bars with shoulders were sub quality, the watch went off the bracelet twice while I inspected it on arrival, at the local DHL office, I went straight to a local emporium watch shop, had two good quality spring bars 1,8x20mm fitted and the watch pressure tested to 6 bars.

The bracelet was easy to size with the screw links, parts look identical to the gen 93150, and I will use gen end links and spring bars after drilling the lugs to 1,3mm.

The bezel is omnidirectional and rotate only when pressed down like the gen. At first it was rough and gritty and since I could not manage to remove it for cleaning I managed to get the grit out with dental floss.

Lume is poor and do not last more than 3 to 4 hours but It's even in colour between the pip, the hands and the hour markers.

Overall it's a nice surprise for 150 €, on the wrist It gives me the same pleasure as my defunct 5512 from 1971.

29mm? That’s disappointing to hear. No more builds with refinished dials with these cases.

I am quite happy with the 29mm dial, it looks good to me with its small dots and easier to read than a 26mm, a better lume job, drilled lugs for the Rolex 2mx20mm shoulderless spring bars will satisfy me. I want vintage "efficiency" rather than historic accuracy!

Trimming the insides of the crown guards and making them straighter would help. Next would be a smaller more gen-like crown. Aging the dial, case and bezel insert would also help,

Thanks for your advice, some I will follow like trimming square the inside of the crown guards. As for the crown 703 style, It's not time correct but I appreciate the advantage of the O' ring protecting the crown thread from grit and dirt.
I had a Gen 5512 with a 702 crown from 1972 to 2003 as my tool watch (diving for the Offshore Oil Industry worldwide) and grit cleaning of the bezel and crown was a recurrent task.

No aging of the watch for me, I kept my old watch pristine with much toothpaste rubbing of the acrylic crystal and scotchbrite on the case and bracelet until I retired it (dead movement). This one looks like just the same after the 20 years full service, with the off white markers and off black dial, the bezel insert looks like a replacement would on an old watch.

Update on the recent JK factorie 1680/5513/Tudor cases, I was able to measure the diameter and thickness of the case ring holding the Inside of the acrylic Crystal after the complete bezel and Crystal assembly fell off on two of my watches, the ring outside diameter is 28,2mm and the thickness including the rehaut is 1,4mm, leaving an internal opening of 25,4mm diameter.
I do not know what size dial is used by JK, but 26mm would apparently work.
I sent a JK 1680/5513 to RolexAddict for modding in October, I am pleased pleased with the work done on the Watch without changing components.
He managed to get the JK bezel assembly to operate correctly as bidirectional "autolock" reshaped the case, redid the lume, shortened the crown.

To improve the look I still have to replace the JK crystal by a service T19.
