I love my sub 44mm from Getat. Standard lume but great watch. Gret price if you want to test first and see if PAMs are for you. Not sure of the movement type but works strong and never had a problem. I will always keep this one.

help in deciding on a homage

no love for the homage? is there a homage section? i couldn't find it.

i was trying to decide on these two options and hope to get your opinions:

jackson: mm25 or getat:44mm Superlume California Style Sandwich Dial

let start with jackson:

-i don't like the cg (asked him to swap it for the one on mm220)
-asked him to swap strap for thick black with white stitching
-asked for sapphire crystal
-asked to confirm lume on hands and roman numerals

asking price is $70 shipped, but +$20 for sapphire, +$5 for strap, +? for cg swap, +$8 for swan neck movement= $103 shipped

now the getat:

-i love the sandwich dial and lume
-better cg and flush pin
-i love the fact you can configure it online: will go with blue california hands +$18 for sapphire (might go with skeleton movement +$20)
-i love his straps

asking price for similar configuration: $112 + $9 shipping=$121

i leaning towards the getat and would't mind paying a bit extra for a nicer fantasy homage.:maty:

I have a jackson. Titanium case, came with swan neck movement but that movement granaded for some reason and i had ordered the printed dial and got sterile. I sent it back and got a new non swan neck movement and proper dial. I ordered mine with deployant clasp and blue hands.

When i got it.

and currently with a nato strap for daily usage.

Im quite satisfied to be honest. Took a bit of work to make waterproof but thats part of the game with these cheapies.

Getat came through for me with this homage. i really like the skeleton movement and the orange sandwich dial with superlume. the escape makes this thing NOISY! the strap is nice, but i was expecting really soft and great quality leather from all of the feedback of his straps. maybe it will get better with age. the other thing i do not like (and this is the case with all wire bars) is changing straps. it's virtually impossible (at least in my experience) not to scratch the case when tightening the screws.

I have a getat. Its a homage to the pam with power reserve and has mm written on a sausge dial.

Pros: been going strong 18 months now, only worn on and off in rotation with 6 or so other watches.

Cons: very noise auto movement. Stock strap with deployment felt and looked plastically so have it on customs which are far better...

Only other con is that my first one from him blew up - he replaced it though! Also he takes ages to build and deliver the goods so be patient.

With regards to hom vs rep its interesting... I did get it to try out for size and have been debating whether to flip it but it is a beaut and the guys in the pub often comment - as do some gen pam owners!

What exactly did you have to do to make your Jackson waterproof? I've had my Jackson for a few months and stay away from water like it's the plague, would love to put it on a rubber deployant and get 'er wet.

Also, did you order that case back special from him? I have the glass caseback as well, but none of the writing.

I wanted to update you guys with this watch. I switched out the strap for a Bronzy. I also fit River's Swiss Brevet crown. Fit PERFECTLY! Thank you, River! TOP NOTCH.
