I ordered watches from Puretime, Trustytime and Theone.
This was my experiences with the orders.
Theone and Puretime both accepted and processed the orders. Each had a different watch ordered from them.
After two full months Puretime informed me that the watch I selected is no longer available.
I had to select another. I did. That watch arrived after three months.
Around the same time Theone sent me an email stating that the watch I ordered came in with the wrong strap and they sending it back to be corrected. It had already been just over two months. A week after I asked about the order and they then informed me that the watch I ordered is also not available. I explained that they said they had it but had to change the strap, but they insisted they no longer had the watch ordered. I was to choose another, I did. A week later I was told that one was also no longer available, choose another.
I did. This time I was sent photos two weeks later of a different watch, not even the same color. I informed them that it wasn't even the same, they said "they all look like that." At that point I just asked to be refunded. I had to jump a few hurdles to make that happen but I did eventually get refunded.
Trustytime was ordered from over a month after the orders for Puretime and Theone were placed.
Within two weeks I had the photos and the watch arrived perfect shortly after. A much faster turn around time and no issues.
I have since ordered from Trustytime again and that watch is on its way.
Of the three I can only recommend Trustytime. They were far and away better than the others.
Perhaps others had better experiences with the other two, but if I were to recommend just one.....it is easily Trustytime.

Wow, this was a good read - glad you posted this, ironically I had just recently ordered from Andrew @ TrustyTime...still waiting on QC pics, but he has been super responsive and now I'm glad I had ordered from TT based on your above comments!

This makes much sense. Andrew has been in this business for a while so he really has experience.

I've bought a few watches from Trusty and have always had good experiences. The rarer watches do take longer to get, but usually good comms and quick turnaround. Also can source watches that aren't in their (extensive) catalogue

I have had no issues at all with Theonewatches, and seen many many good reports of Pure Time ................

So, being Devils Advocate, were these orders placed in the run up to, or period after the CNY ?

No China purchases work that well from January to March IME (y)

Welcome to the world of counterfeit goods, made under the tread of imprisonment in secret Chinese locations that on occasion get raided with full force of the Communist regime. It's indeed different from ordering a watch from Amazon, and it takes nerves, patience, and the ability to overlook a lot of problems that can happen along the way.

I've found out that the easiest way to order a new watch from China is to build a good relationship with a Trusted Dealer, and ask said dealer in advance to inquire if the watch I would like to buy is available. My go-to is Sead, but there are others, equally good TDs around, and they all have to buy from the same pool under the same adverse conditions. It's no walk in the park for them either.

It really depends on luck sometimes and on which particular model you order.
Different connections from TDs to factorys or wholesalers and everything made be choose dealers by watch factory mainly or availability in physical stock.
