A few new Panerai straps

After experimenting with a few ideas and the endless search for the correct color hides, I managed to come up with a couple of straps. Figured I post a couple pics.

It all spurred from wanted the perfect strap for my fiddy, they are a bit thicker than the norm. They take a fair amount of time but I get to have them exactly the way I want for each respective watch. I still have a few more ideas but just never enough time!

Fantastic work. Those are clearly the thickest straps I've ever seen. 8mm???

They are all different. The thickest is the fiddy strap which at the thickest part is close to 7mm. A touch on the overly thick side of things but on such a monster of a timepiece, it isn't as out of proportion as you would think. I have some that range from 4mm-6mm as well.

The best part is that even though these are very thick, the leather is so supple that they are by far the most comfortable straps I've had. They conform better to my wrist than thinner 4mm straps I've had in the past. It all depends on the leather hides.

Yea Steve the fiddy strap sure looks it! I wasn't sure how thick I wanted it when I started. Just went with it and waited to see how it would turn out. It's not that hard to vary the thickness.

The brown is only 4.5-5mm thick, so maybe it's only bb gun proof. :lol:

I just make a strap when I need one or get a cool idea when I find a nice piece of leather. Mostly it's new watch purchases that fuel my need to expand the strap collection.

I only make them 1 at a time, ..that is when I can find the time! They take me awhile since it's all by hand.
