I picked up a 236 old case with correct 7753 dial that should be a straight swap for my 7753. It has a movement issue, so its a perfect candidate and is already at the heart specialist getting the transplant. Hopefully there will be no glitches!
I also picked up a 164 from csquared last week. It is the high end 164 with correct crystal and cyclopse and pretty darn good date wheel. This is one of my more proud moments... Something went boom in the watch after just a few hours and I took it to my watchmaker for a look over. He let me know that the movement had some issues including a broken stop lever, a broken double jumper spring and a bent calender wheel. He basically said it would be cheaper and easier to source a new movement, so the search began. After a few days, I got impatient and tore it apart myself to have a look. I had an a7750 for parts, but was not exactly sure what needed to be done. I located the eta technical breakdown from the eta website and disassembled both movements. I transplanted the stop lever, calender wheel and double jumper spring and put it back together. And to my amazement... it seems to be running well after nearly 36 hours. I STILL WANT A NEW MOVEMENT as I have no idea how long this one will continue to run, so if anyone has a non chrono 7750 that they can let go... remember me!
And then there is the homage that I picked up the other day with a new custom 27-24mm 5.5mm thick strap that I made this afternoon with a sewn in buckle. I found a source for these sewn in buckles at $8 each... so I couldnt resist putting one together.
I just want anyone who is considering buying a Panerai replica to know that they are even more addictive than the Rolex's that I typically hold on to. And once you have them, you start adding new CG's, new T-Crowns (thank you LOS, got it today and it is already installed on my 111) and reluming, etc........
