A couple of quick questions on the 508 and Kuvarsit

I've been out of the loop for three months and return to discover the beautiful 505 from Kuvarsit--and the incredible reviews of it. Two questions:

1) Much as I like the 505, I'm really hoping for the same quality of rep in the 508. I checked Ale's review and couldn't find it there. Any chance Kuvarsit would do a comparably superb job on it?
2) Why is Kuvarsit not listed among our trusted dealers? Am I not supposed to buy my 505 from him?

1. As far as I can tell, there have not been any announcements on the PAM508 rep. There is however, the PAM389 which is being worked on by a maker as reported by Angus. As the dial is the same, it would just be the matter of treating the case to make it look composite. If you are looking for a PAM508 review there wouldn't be one as it's not yet made into a rep, not even of a decent quality. For the PAM505 review, here is ALE's opinion on it and the 388. It's not yet pasted into the guide due to time constraints.

2. Kuvarsit is not listed here because he is not a TD here. He is though at RWG1.1. It just simply means it would not be possible for the RWI staff to mediate if problems should arise. That said, some of the TDs here carry KW watches, like hontwatch for example.

I'm confused, is this about the 505 or 508?

I suppose it is about both. I really like the 505 and have read what Ale and the rest of you say about it, but I prefer the 508 and was hoping that Kuvarsit (or someone else) would make a top quality rep of it, now that they have (sort of) cloned to 9000 movement into the 505. Seems I'm out of luck--if getting that beautiful 505 means being out of luck.

I have already updated the PAM GUIDE with 505 and 388. Even I have inclided the V2 version of KW PAM 388 fitted with A7750 instead of Seagull ST 2555, and lug screws issues already fixed. Just a new version not an improvement, leaving aside the screw issues fixed.

Yes the KW 505 is awesome but PAM 508 is a thing completely different
As said by mysterio, since a PAM 389 is already in project to be released, maybe we can get in the future a PAM 508 with some modifications.

The dial is not exactly the same, because DOT markers in PAM 508 are stick in PAM 389, but it is very similar and can be used many parts. Of course inscriptions and lume colour are different but this is not a big problem.
Solid caseback make easy the movement matter
Regarding bezel, maker should make another different, because 389 bezel is Titanium with a thick ceramic insert. It is nothing valid for 508
Concerning case and CG , since 389 is made of Titanium, they will be perfect to be DLC coated, and we will get a case-set lighter (due to Ti) and more accurate to ceramic case of 508.
Makers are nowadays trying to release some ceramic and composite cases using Titanium DLC coated to get a more accurate weight
Following mysterio comments, after PAM 389 release, if the final quality is good, I will try speaking to Angus to start a PAM 508 project with these bases.

I hope you can see me rubbing my hands together in excitement for a 508. In the meantime, I think I will have to spring for that 505. It really is a thing of beauty.
