Bought a Ti Chrono Avenger in June. I loved the way it looked and wanted a Breitling forever so I took the dive. Well, 8 months later Ive come to realize that it really isn't everything I hoped it was. Im starting to see that the bigger sized watches (44mm and above) just are really tooo big for me. I own 5 rollies, alpha presidential, seiko casual and an omega and I love the size of those watches but the Breitling, even though it looks fine on my wrist, I feel its just tooo much. Anyone else feel this way?

I was very much of the same opinion a couple of years ago, since then I find I am happier with a 42-45mm watch. 45mm is my limit. I just got a Ti Chrono Avenger and I love the size of it. The problem I have is the weight. It is so strange to me being so light. I actually like a heavy watch. I am getting used to it though.

most people are the opposite I think.
I could not imagine going to a smaller watch...

If you want to unload your Avenger TI,, please send me a PM.. let's work something out, I have been thinking about one lately.

i like a big heavy watch. i am thinking about a gen breitling super avenger. i have a dj and dd, i love them but they are for different occasions where a bigass watch would be out of place for me. i love the look of the ti chrono avenger but it feels strange to me also because of it's lack of wait. what ever you wear the most important thing is that your happy with it, nobody else matters except you.

I used to think my limit is 40-42mm. I couldn't even imagine wearing something bigger than 42mm. I also used to worry about how thick a watch was, and believed more than 10-12mm is too much. Over time I've come to like 44mm watches and now I stick to 42-44. I still don't see myself wearing anything bigger than 44, but time may change that as well! :?

I love the feel of my big 46mm Bell & Ross....however several people have commented that I look like I'm wearing a wall clock on my wrist.... I stil love it, though it's just hard to fit under some sleeves.

opposite side here:

used to wear for years a 38mm ?? (not exactly sure size) Gen Tag that I loved ;
always thought it was the perfect size, now with 6 different 44MM watches in the collection (all reps of course) I look and laugh at the Tag becuase it is so small it looks like a ladies watch on my wrist and I will likely never wear it again.
maybe for swimming in the ocean?

I have decided 44 to be the proper size for me and would be reluctant to buy even a 42MM again, and won't go bigger than 45MM.

Cheers,
M

I'm a 42mm guy. The IWC CD06 is my largest and at 44(I think) its really almost too big.

I think it has to do with the size of your wrist and how you dress.... I have smaller wrists and dress more conservatively so big really stands out.

I agree it does sort of compare with what you are wearing. Im a casual jeans, t shirt typical metal head rocknroller) and I think the Rollies fit and look real nice on my wrist. The Omega is perfect as well being 42 mm. I think the depth of the Ti Avenger is too thick which may be what is pushing me away from it. Im interested in trying one more Breitling (Chronomat Evo) to see how it sits on my wrist. The Chrono Evo is only 43.5mm correct? but Im afraid that it will be too thick just like the Ti Avenger.

initially i was greedy and bought a large 48mm bentley cos it looked so hot in all the pics.
then after a month or so i realised it was too much watch for my 6.5 wrists.
so i got rid of it and got me a navitimer.
things were perfect for a while but now its starting to feel a little small.
now i am eyeing a BCE. or maybe a UPO. or maybe a HBB. argh.
