Here's an update on my 79090. Apologies for oversize pics. I reshaped the crown guards and am happy with them. I still need to replace the crown, replace the hands, and drill the lugs. I have a 1.6mm drill bit but I measured the 2mm spring bars and the part that goes in the lug hole is closer to 1mm so curious as to if 1.6mm is a little too big?

I kind of wish I had a darker dial but it changes color depending on the light as per Yuki's description. The dial has some imperfections but hardly noticeable fortunately. Gen dial would be grail but at the prices they're going for I won't hold my breath!

The bracelet is a rep rollie bracelet with hollow middle links. I split it apart and used the JKF end links since the bracelet had SELs. The end links fit perfectly but won't hold up with the 2mm spring bars so that's another debate. The look of the drilled lug holes is desired but will the end link fit be this good?

Gen lugs holes are 1.25mm for 2mm springbars, so use 1.25mm drill bits, preferably using a drill press to enlarge the current holes.

Thanks that is a Gen eta date wheel. I am keeping it for another project. I actually found one even cooler with a silver background from another get eta from the 1970s for a 2837-2. The other update is I scored a gen dial.
