Hello all,

My Hublot BB has stopped working, and the rotor seems stuck. Nothing happened to the watch that I'm aware of (drop, hit, etc...). If anyone has troubleshooting advice that I can do myself please share.

Thank you!

First of all, tried open the watch to see if you can see why it's stuck? Might be stuck on an underlying screw head, might need to remove the rotor and screw it back on again, etc. And do take some pics if you want us to have a closer look at it.

Thank you Dynaduck! I'll check it out and post my findings.

Does your rotor not spin either? Do you see any symptoms that might causing it to stop working?

I actually opened it up per the other suggestions I found doing a search. I used an Optivisor (since my eyes can no longer see tiny things) and didnt see any thing blocking any gears. All screws were screwed down.

I blew into the movement in hopes to clear any dust. Then I just touched the balance wheel and it started moving again. I'm thinking I probably need to re-oil the movement. I'm trying to source a silicone oil.

If you're going to lubricate your own movement, ensure that you're using the correct oils or you'll end up making it worse.

How do I know which oil to get? I thought any watch silicone oil would do.
