Hey. I got an issue with the date adjust on a 7750 movement where the date adjust is slipping ... At random times the date does not adkust although i hear the click when i turn the crown. Does it randomly.... If i pull the crown a second time, the time adjusts no issues. The date also adjust at midnight no issues. Just when crown i pulled 1st time for date adjust it's a hit or miss.

How hard is it to fix if fixable....can i just take it to any watch repair? Ballpark cost?

First you want to clean and oil the movement since your going to have to take it out of the case.
It might not be as simple as you think. Easy for me but may not be for others.

Sounds like the quick set wheel isn't catching the cogs correctly. Depends on the watch you have as to how easy that would be; something like an AP with sec@12 will require the additional sec@12 bridge removal to access the date and change parts so it's more complex. If it's a simpler watch, say a Breitling chronomat, if you're relatively handy, remove the dial and you may spot it's a simple problem.

It may however require some new parts, and if you're not handy enough to remove the hands and dial, you may want to send it to one of the forum's many watchsmiths

It is a kw pam 388 with a7750 movement. Never really opened a watch before. If it meams dismantling the movement i don't think i have the skillset. What about a local watch repair, would they beable to sort it out?
