I have just completed my first and so far only complete stripdown and reassembly of an A7750 following some online guidance. It is a spare movement I bought specifically for this purpose.

Everything is back together again, but when I wind it manually the rotor spins along (I believe even worse than before). Have I been too hesitant with lubrication? I have cleaned the parts to the best of my ability before reassemby. Or is Lubeta a must for the reversing wheel? Did I overlook something?

I know this is hard to answer from far away, but any hints or tips are appreciated.

maybe reclean and lube the rotor bearing after removing it? might be a small particle snagging

you might try to mount another rotor just to check first

Yes- it’s caused by incorrect lubrication of the reversing wheel. ETA recommends Lubeta V105 for them, it has to be diluted 1/10 with IPA and the reversing wheel soaked in it and let it dry. It will solve your issue.

I believe it's not the rotor bearings, it spins freely in both directions.

I think that the culprit is with the gears of the winding mechanism.

Thanks mate! I will try again, this time with Lubeta.
