Don’t mind the 3 vs 4 Hz but doesn’t the lack of reflectivity/ texture on the moon disc bother you?APSF made a really nice rep of the Villeret 6654, and it is also noticeably cheaper than OMF (APSF is like 320 $ instead OMF is like 450 $)...but while the OMF Rep is running a modified Miyota 9015 , the APSF has a Seiko NH35.
While i honestly would prefer the Seiko (the NH35 is a real wokhorse, it can work bare dry ) , the Miyota 9015 is of course running at 4 hz ( 28.800 bph ) , while the NH35 is running at 3 hz (21.600 bph ) .
The Gen Blancpain 6654 caliber is running at 4 hz so this is a difference....but anyway, i would still prefer the APSF Rep ....
I do appreciate the importance of the details, but i will repeat this : the very fact a watch like this is repped, and so well repped with a reliable Seiko movement is super cool by itself.Don’t mind the 3 vs 4 Hz but doesn’t the lack of reflectivity/ texture on the moon disc bother you?
No argument there!I do appreciate the importance of the details, but i will repeat this : the very fact a watch like this is repped, and so well repped with a reliable Seiko movement is super cool by itself.
That said , i own an OMF Factory Villeret, when i will be back in my house i will photograph it so we can see if it has a different Trxture compared to the Gen..
Anyway, Blancpain's Moonphases have the most beautiful Moon, in my opinion![]()
