Dsn could make a 5218/203 case back. Ad a PVD case and a 111 dial--->finished, right?

There is actually a better dial out there from DSN - Pam 040. You'll just have to get rid of the "L SWISS L" on the bottom of "6" somehow.

Only the case back is the most difficult part to get. The dial can modify the existing sandwitch dial from Davidsen. I am thinking of modify 202A dial to 203A. It needs to fill up the number 2 and use laser to spark to number 3. This is from my study. Othe method like milling or etching is more difficult. I don't know why Davidsen does not offer this case back. Maybe it is not so popular for this model compared to others.

Joe, the 040 dial that DSN has has "T-SWISS-T" on it.

At any rate, I *think* remembered reading that someone had vaccum paint over the bottom printing on one of their dials? Is that ringing any bells with anyone? I'd be curious to see how that turned out....

ssalx, 202A is a Base Marina Militare, 203A has second at 9 and no "Swiss" Printing on dial, that`s right... :)

whatever....whatever

i remember in 1980 nobody wanted to buy a Panerai, the company was 99% bancrupt.

i can understand somebody paying that amount for a Breguet,Patek, Lange, or Glashuette.

but for a watch with that movement ?

Like the song says:

The times, they are a-changin'.

Now, if I'd only bought a 201, 202 or 203 back in the early 90s.....

Truely sorry for my mistyping. I means modify case back of 202A to 203A. Just find the way to change the number 2 to 3, not the dial. Sorry to confuse you and members.

The dial is just remove the T-Swiss-T which is very easy job as I did on my 202A.

Cheers.
