Hey guys,

So I recently built this for a friend of mine who decided that he wanted one of my v72 Daytona builds instead so I ended up keeping this. Good thing too because a lot of work went into making this piece what it is. And to be honest I was super happy to keep it specs below. My favorite thing about this build is the gen spec case with Faraday cage. Only some 200 gens were made and all had serial starting at 412,xxx - and important thing to note when attempting this build.

For me the 6541 is very special because I'm a science nerd and the fact that Rolex designed the movement to fit inside a Faraday case then into the oyster case is freaking awesome!

Rolex Milgauss 6541 Superfranken
Dial: 6541 honeycomb dial (by MQ refinished on GEN Singer plates) - aged and vintage lumed
Hands/Bezel/Bezel / Insert: Gen hour / minute hands. MQ "lightning bolt" seconds hand.
Crown: Gen
Case/Case Back: Phong - engraved 6541 with Faraday Cage as per gen (Case serial number marked 412,xxx correct to the 200 or so Milgauss 6541 that was produced)
Crystal: Swiss Plexi Dome Crystal
Movement: GEN Rolex Caliber 1030, 25 Jewels Mechanical (Automatic) Serial No.: N72413. Serviced to +/- 5 per day.
Band: Brown handmade leather used, Swiss Acier Buckle.

Thanks guys! Glad you guys like it. I try to get as close to gen as possible without looking like the watch went to war and back. The Milgauss on the dial was faded to a pink hue and lume on the dial was aged for that vintage vibe!

Really beautiful. Those MQ dials are so nice, each one I see I like... the pinkish milgauss writing is a great detail and matching the aging of.gen hour+minute and rep seconds hand must have been a challenge.

Thanks bro. Definitely not an easy task. Luckily my watchsmith is extremely good. Another amazing lume modder is @yodog. He did one of my handset to match a dial and it was spot on!!

Outstanding end result here.

Great recap of the project both detail & photography wise.

Hope the vintage flame continues to burn strong with you so that we can see more of these coming to life.
