Hi.
How do you turn a 2824-2 high beat to a low beat 21600.

Change 3 Parts from Eta 2846 to 2824-2

1.Balance wheel
2.Escape wheel
3.Pallet fork

Now running in the AP FC Diver V3 Gen. Eta 2824-2 with 21600 beats.

If you really want to be fancy, you can change the balance wheel and spring only rather than the whole balance cock. That way you retain the timing adjustment screw.

I got to this post late. Looking at both a 2840 and 2842 movements to do the swap as they seem to be more easily available. Wonder if this will work the same. beat rates are the same and similar construction.

That is really interesting, thanks for sharing!
Wonder if the same result would be possible if using a Swatch 2842 for parts instead?

Coming back to this old discussion - I tried to modify 2 brand new eta 2824 with parts from 2846 (pallet fork, escape wheel, balance wheel assembly).

Unfortunately even with 3 different sets of parts from 2846 and 2 new eta 2824 I’m not getting stable results on the timegrapher. Rate either jumping up and down (no “line” on the timegrapher display) and in some cases balance wheel even stopping with dial up position.

Anyone experienced similar issues with this mod?
