6497 mvmt jammed.

my 6497 mvmt with small seconds just jammed up.. no idea y, it was running perfectly earlier in e day..&it just jammed..

what r e possibilities.?

Possible a screw in the movement came loose and fell into movement jamming a gear? Very gently shake and try different positions and see if it starts back up?

it was wrking fine e whole day..until about 20mins ago..

Are the hour/minute hands hanging up on each other? Possible one slipped a bit.

Next step: remove case back and have a look and see if anything is obviously out of place... I had a 112 lock up years ago... When case back was removed, a metal shard was in my balance holding it tight. I still don't know how it didn't cause permanent damage... Watch still runs great about 5 years later.

swapped out e balance wheel.. everything wrks now.. thanks guys..
