I guess I agree with you, as I have heard that story before, but is that history or an assumption that all the Paneristi made up? it sounds plausible.

You'd think Panerai would have at least purchased the cases for spares? Instead, Rolex decided to clean its attic and get rid of the extra cases? Story seems weird, but I guess its all we have at the moment.

I wish Panerai had kept better reccords.
