5th gen PO 42mm Dial Question

Recently got a 5th gen PO from Trevor. Watch looks great, but in natural light the dial doesn't look black, but appears to almost have an amber haze. By comparison, my other black dial watches (Seiko diver and a Steelfish) both look black. My question is, is this improved by Franken modding the watch with new dial, do I need to do the crystal, or is this just the way it is?
