There are some pics and reviews showing up already, so Im not going to do an in depth review, but I wanted to share some photos. I know the SMP is not like-for-like against the PO, but in these shots, I've used my gen SMP to help you gather your own conclusions. A multitude of shots with flash and natural lighting using Canon Rebel EOS, to show what the 5th generation 42mm Planet Ocean looks like.

For about 8% the cost of a gen, this (tested) waterproof, serviceable, high quality piece is a hit for me. Here you go, draw your own conclusions gentleman.

Did they help you to water-proofed the watch and test for water resistance or did you get it done somewhere else?

How does the bezel turn? Firm or loose?

Does the clasp hold tight?

Which movement did you pick and how is the quality?

Its a nice looking watch.

A few things to note on my side:

-sizing the bracelet was extremely painful (perhaps less so than previous generations)

- The clasp closing mechanism is not robust. It doesn't close unless both pushers are pressed. It has a "reppy" feel to it.

- I also have the same asian clone from MR and the movement is definitely choppy and does not look like a 28,800 (I am not claiming that the gen is 28,800, because it isn't)

-The crystal on the other hand is very nice. I was thinking of getting it double AR coated, but it just looks great as it is.

-the crown and he valve are pretty big.

I still think that Omega reps are quite poor in terms of quality compared to some of the other brands. I am not sure why.
