Speaking about case shape.. I think this post from paneristi could be interesting.. it is showing some shots comparison between Vintage 6152 and 6154 and new 1940 case release like 622 and 587.

How do you feel about the MM color ? How is the plexi ?

speaking about colours.. There is quite a difference between daylight and artificial light..
during the Day the MM is more yellow but not too much..and you could note the difference with the ecru from the index, and the 3D engraved effect (this is not paragonable with the one of 372 noob).
under artificial light the MM is more uniform respect to the index.

plexi is clear with minimum distortion at the edges.

as soon I will get MINE new strap.. I will post some additional pics

I still dont understand why an SC movement was not used here. Is there / was there a sizing issue? Why use the older and ill say uglier p3000 decorated movement. They might as well have put an undecorated 6497 in there no? i dunno, just dont get it - why do all the work in getting the case, dial, hands and crown so damn close only to screw it up with the movement.

Using the rep pics and the gen pics of the link from WalterDH, I have made some comparisons

Case shape, bezel profile and even crystal seem good enough, but lug shape is really different from gen.

See below the comparison with a gen profile. Rep lug seems a bit longer, thinner and less curved (mainly in upper profile)
