Hi guys
Is there any alternative strap for this watch rather than leather?

I want something more casual and grab my wrist tighter. (Rubber b is ideal but cant afford it)

One more question, how is gold plate hold up? It’s pre-own, lot of swirls and some decent scratches but there is no sign of ss under it.

Yes, Rubber B straps are expensive and unfortunately there are no affordable rubber straps available for the 5711. There are however some certain rep Nautilus models available on DHGate that come equipped with a rubber strap. These watches cost much less than a Rubber B strap, so they might be worth looking at.

I found the strap. While waiting for it to arrive.
I couldn’t find any diy for strap replacement.

Any advice or quick steps for removing?

Good find. You've just helped a lot of people that were looking for these straps including myself. The hard part is finding the two conversion links, which you already have so no problem there.

How is your current strap attached to your watch, screws or pins? If attached by screws, you'll probably need two screwdrivers, one to turn the other to hold the other end to keep it from spinning. If attached by pins you'll need a pin pusher. Contact me if you need additional help.

Went to track my item shipping and noticed that it’s not available anymore.

nomana ,
Is it out of stock for all colors? The straps are also available at DHGate. Search, Rubber Strap 25mm, under watches.

Seem like they pulled the product off right after my order.

And thank you so much, I might order black one from DHGate too.

The question is HOW ?
There is no hole for the lip. The rubber is well made and material is good. I tried to use hot stick to melt it but no luck.

You can try carving out a hole/slot using a X-Acto knife. Carefully cut just a little at a time. Did your old leather strap have a hole/slot for the lip?

I made the hole but rubber is too soft so couldnt hole the lip when the strap was bent.

The old strap have the plastic inside. The top part (where the hole is) made of plastic with leather wrap (see picture)

The only thing I can think of right now is that the end links for the leather strap and rubber strap might be different. There are some cheap nautilus watches on DHGate with the rubber strap, if you can source only the end links from those watches it may work. RWI has a TD, Mr. TimeZone, that specializes in hard to find parts.

Do you think the lip is necessary? I thought of grinding/filing the lip off, but that would expose the stainless steel under the gold plating.

I might go with your suggestion. Buy cheap nautilus with rubber strap.

IMO the lip is not necessary if the watch is SS and your wrist is not too small.
