V2 is more of a purple than a blue one, with no green tint and also they made it wrong font with letter “A”. The sw that i had has small middle hole and my watchmaker said that there is a 50% chance that when he fix it, it would damaged the dial so I returned that sw to my dealer and swapped it with a v3 buffV2 buff looks good - the most recent SW dial looked quite accurate - not sure which batch yours is relative to the one posted recently?
But the color of the SW dial is really good thoV2 buff looks good - the most recent SW dial looked quite accurate - not sure which batch yours is relative to the one posted recently?
Thank you very much for your effort to compare all these different dials and share your impressions!! that is very helpful!V2 is more of a purple than a blue one, with no green tint and also they made it wrong font with letter “A”. In the picture 5, the buff v3 is in the watch (non boxed) and the other one is first batch v1. I personally prefer the v1. In real life, the sunburst on the buff v3 is not that great but the color is pretty good. I can’t be sure which dial is the best gen like since i have never seen a gen in person and there are variations between gen as well..Mine is cnc case, buff dial + hands + dw. Markers on the SW is closest to gen, Buff’s markers are round (all version, but not that much off). But if you go for buff dial, you should go for buff hands (same lume color) and dw (the v3 has a pretty large date window, different dw might not be in the center).Thank you very much for your effort to compare all these different dials and share your impressions!! that is very helpful!
Does pictures 5. really show a buff v3, because the right dial is a boxed dial and as far as I know buff v3 are made as non boxed dial or do they offer both versions?
Which dial do you think is the best and most gen like ootb (color, rounded gradients, thickness of gradients, markers)?
which parts would you combine of all these dials (dial, markers, hands) to achieve the best gen like result?
i jumped on the patek fanboy train when some dials were no longer available. so I ordered the the buff v3 unboxed with buff hands...
Is it PPF dial? I’ve never have a chance to see a PPF in real life
no, it is our custom made dial.Is it PPF dial? I’ve never have a chance to see a PPF in real life
Curious about your cnc case, would you mind posting some more pics of it and sharing how to get one? My main personal issue with the 3KF case are the inward facing chamfers on the lug edges so if its better on a cnc case I’d be stoked to get my hands on one. Here are my comparison pics and a video of my four Nautilus dials (if all are visible from left to right they are Buff v3, Buff v1 and PPF v4 5711, PPF 5712 v1):
Buff v3 has wider stripes than v1. V3 has a bit more blue, a bit less green tint and weaker sunburst. V3 still definitely contains green hue. I can see a bit more brownish color gradient in v1.
yes interesting to know. some td say sw and vvs is the same factory, some say sw and vvs are different factorys..? If sw and vvs are differnet factorys do the both offer matching hands lume with matching lume dial markers ? is vvs v1 still available or out of stockheneeal opinion that vvs is the best/ most gen like dial in color, gradients and marker shape?is SW and WS different?
all of these are designed for 3KF, if i'm not mistaken...
Thank you very much for the clarification, sir!Vvs and sw is the same factory. U can think of it as sw being the vvs v2. Or sw just brought the vvs dial. They are exactly the same. Its just that they cant source the same dial base plate as the v1.
