I placed a couple orders over the last Chinese holiday. A 505 from Ryan, and an 026 from Sead. Patiently I waited and they both showed up on the same day last week! It was like Christmas. I unboxed and tried on each piece....inspecting them as we hobbyists do. I removed the sticker from the case back of the 026, and in my haste put it on the 505 while I pranced around the living room showing off to myself. Well, the result was the tint from the back glass of the 505 started being uneven and even stripped in some spots.

I was mulling around the thought of selling it for cheap, but thought I'd check here first if any of you had any advice. How do you strip the tint off while protecting the case itself? Or should I try to procure a new glass for it? Or just leave it as is? Thanks for your thoughts.

So the film is on the outside? I was expecting it to be inside, like AR.

I contacted the TD and he responded that he will look at the problem and try to help me find a solution. I'll update here just in case another member has had a similar issue.

You should ask dealer for a correct new caseback

Rahbii, i think what happened to you is almost the same with what happened to me on my milgauss. After some years of usage, the tint begins to wear off on some spots, they become uneven, and I had to scrap all of them using sandpaper.
However, I dont know if it is because of the same cause with yours. In my case, its because the milgauss have AR on its outside.

Can you show us some more close up pics of it?
Are there any solution provided by your dealer on this matter ?
Hmm, I do get curious why is there no other owner of 505 comes up with a comment on this matter....
