47mm, acrylic crystal, solid caseback... Does it exist?

I recently purchased a 587 from Toro and I love it. It is my first 47mm watch. I always thought it would be too big but it feels comfy on my wrist. Now I am interested in other models but I am a bit of a PAM newb. I downloaded the Excel file and went though the Panerai guide. I couldn't find a reference that checked off all of the boxes.

Is there such a thing or is the homage route my only option?

Thanks!

587 was also my first rep and the build quality is above my expectation.

Good luck with your search btw...

PAM 629 SF is acrylic but gen is sapphire
Therefore inaccurate rep
I think OP is nor looking for that

That is a great looking watch but I was leaning more towards a SS case. I guess a custom homage or vintage build is my only option

Hello DVNE, welcome to the Pam addiction. It sounds like a vintage build is a second choice for you. It shouldn't be! Most of the original Panerai's from the early days had plexi, closed caseback and were 47 mm. There are expensive options (Henio, Jackson) but also affordable ones, have a look at Davidsen. I own a vintage build 6152/1 from member black_shark and I am very happy with it. Please bear in mind that a solid caseback makes the watch taller and heavier, so probably a little less comfortable than a modern 47mm.

Awesome! I didn't realize it would sit much taller on the wrist. I will definitely look into Davidsen. I just picked up a Benrus case set from him too.
Thank you ALL for the feedback :)

Hopefully OP comes out with LE 47mm cased piece with a sandwich dial, acrylic crystal and a solid engraved caseback. One can dream lol...

Get yourself a Noob 372 and hide the ugly movement with a nice solid caseback from Athaya or Nightwatch :)

*see below* Im on nightwatch's website.. not seeing option for engraved casebacks. Looks like they're all solid. Some have an engraved ring. Also, how did you find one for the 372 size?
