45mm PO Gen Crystal Gasket - too fat

Hi All,

Has anyone fitted a gen crystal with a gen gasket into their 45mm UPO?

I tried in vain over the weekend to press it in before reading the 'ultimate franken thread' here, which mentions I'd need to 'make the gasket thinner' to fit!

Any suggestions on how to achieve this...?

Any help appreciated!

R2 used my rep gasket on both of my Frankens.

And sorry, I have no idea on how to make that flimsy tiny little gasket any thinner.

I have installed a gen gasket, but Uwe worked on it. Why dont you try sending him a pm? You may need to use a buffer or some kind of special tool, it may be a tricky due to ring shape...

Gen gasket won't fit, Uwe said. So I am sending him just gen crystal and rep gasket. I understand that rep gasket needs trimming because gen crystal is thicker?

Yes the gen gasket is too thick, I've not tried with the rep gasket yet, will do that and report back..!
