I'm looking for a 44mm Panerai. I currently own a PAM217 (47mm, to big for me but its so nice).

Can anyone suggest a model that has been rep very good, automatic movement, non destro. Not the 177 (titanum), i do not like the case.

Basically looking for a 'daily' wearer that i would stick a panerai SS bracelet on.

I basically just need a nudge in the right direction from the experts (yes i'm using the search features and i already have 'some' ideas).

I am primarily looking for accuracy vs the gen and then accurate time keeping (aka no junk/cheapies).

Thanks :)

How much are you looking to spend? For out of the box rep autos I think the 199 and 088 (little bit dressier) are 2 good choices if you get the ultimate

$200-$400 would be my budget. Which i would imagine would be good for a ulitmate panerai thats been modded to be more accurate. I'm just not sure what to look for.

So far i got: 111, 199, 088.

Well you said auto and thats why I suggested the 199 or 088. 111 is manual wind. 199 on bracelet looks good IMO

I had a look, the PAM199 is one of the rare pams i really do not like.

PAM 088 is nice but the arrows are fugly (to my taste).

Any other idea's? The PAM111 is rubbing me all the right ways, but their seems to be a LOT of them and a LOT of bad one's... and its manual but thats not to much of an issue.

Nice PAM196 but it looks like my 212 lol

I think i'm going to go with a PAM111, any idea who to contact? I deff don't mind spending extra to get a really good one thats more accurate.

Well if you arent in too big of a rush I would buy second hand for a few reasons. Normally get more for your dollar, nicer cg's or lumed or T/palp crowns. If you buy form someone within your country there is no customs risk, on your wrist faster and you know it works (dont have to worry about it being DOA).

If you want one you can always look at DSN or SEAD on RG, both make nice 111's for around 400

I have contacted SEAD, but right after i saw a big rant from someone saying the PAM111 sausage dial is far from accurate, even after the modding. And a lot of people were agreeing with him...

DSN made my PAM217 which i love but is way to big (and going for sale very soon).

What do you guys think of the PAM000?

Would the Panerai SS bracelet fit it?

Thanks.

The current version of the 243 is one of the most accurate PAM reps out there. Excellent watch.

I don't believe there are any good 000 reps out there right now.

Oh yeah? Interesting... i have a member trying to trade his for my PAM217. He says its quite accurate to the gen and a good time keeper. I'll post photos he sent since i do not know the PAM000 to well.
