I picked this one up on Ebay. Worked on several of my Pams.
It cost me about $26 with shipping.

I bought it about 4 months ago, back when I had only 1 Pam. It was from haoyee111. They
used to sell so much stuff. By the way it does work good.

You can never have enough tools!

I use this. you can get it from Birdman, one of our trusted brothers around here. I just open it wide and put the flat teeth in. Hold it secure and it works just fine. Then with all the other attatchments you can open most of your watches,

I've been told a wad of duct tape (sticky side out), some pressure, and a twist of the wrist, will get the job done in a pinch. I've yet to try it myself.

I use channel locks, opened up to about the 4th channel. Use a t-shirt or other thin fabric in between so you don't scratch the metal, and be very careful. Works great.

The handyman's secret weapon- ductape! Works well for me, I prefer it on Pams and Rollies. Leaves just a bit of a residue, but that's very easily cleaned off.
One thing about using ductape is that it won't scratch!
Otto Frei sells a rubber ball (about $10) that's supposed to work very well- one of our dealers here had a bunch of them for a while last year. I may get one next time I'm forced to order something from them...

Everyone needs a Jaxa style caseback opener. I picked up a cheep one several years ago.
Mine would just fit the back of the 44mm Pams but not the 45mm or 47mm types, and the
49mm Railmaster no way. Its a nice luxury to have a dedicated opener for a perticular model.

I modified mine enough so it now works on 45mm Pams and my Railmaster. In the picture
below I removed the bottom plate by the 4 screws and nuts and filed the travel openings
at point A and B to be longer and its working for me.

By the way it seems every caseback gasket I check is bone dry. I love the way a screwback
case seats with a freshly greased gasket, has a good feel.

Sometimes pictures help.

Davidsen has some high end case back openers for sale. Check his Photobucket for pictures and shoot him an email.

Or get this aluminum opener from Pure Time. It looks sturdy.
