By-tor's review only covers up to the 4th gen 42mm... Having had both I can tell you they have their differences. I personally prefer the 5th simply for the superior A/R and the pearl, although its not correct it doesn't look like a pimple.

Are you saying that 42mm is not called UPO even though the rep makers call it by the same name as its 45mm counterpart?

The latest 45mm PO was the original UPO, but the 42mm PO was updated - known as generation 5 - and it is also considered a UPO.

Without measuring the watch, can you tell the differences just by looking at it?

Look at the bezel on both sizes of the Gen. The current "bestest" reps have Gen like bezel teeth/edge. The 42mm version has a coined edge and the 45mm version has a scalloped edge.

Look at the date window of both as well. The 42mm is closer to the dial's edge.

If you plan on comparing every PO rep, that would take a while. :lol:

answer is : Date windows - if it almost touch the index @ 3 it is the 42 if not ... the 45

Q5 is correct, along with the He valve being smaller on the 42. The 45 He valve sticks farther out from the case, so double check that when looking at QC pics.
